The present project (FREPY- Friendly Resources for Playful Speech Therapy) is funded by the COMENIUS action in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union. It is conducted in cooperation with Estonia, Lithuania and Slovenia.

The project aims at developing interactive and multi-functional language-supporting programs in the national languages of the partner countries. In Germany, the project specifically targets Russian-German bilinguals. The language-supporting programs including games, puzzles, picture stories, etc. will be available in a printed form and/or online, so that they can be easily accessed by kindergarten or school teachers and parents. The tasks within these programs will be equally suitable for individual and group work at different ages (from 5 to 8 years old). The materials should support comprehension and production in such language domains as syntax, lexicon, phonology, pragmatics and discourse.

Further, the methodological guidelines for teachers and parents will be developed. At the same time the project outcome should provide the possibility (an internet platform) for sharing individual experiences and the best practices, increasing public awareness of language support of children with language difficulties.
