In the years 2003, 2004 and 2006, the ZAS participated in the 'Long Night of the Sciences'. With experiments, posters, films and other presentation forms, we tried to show the fascination of linguistic research. Some of the themes presented were: Vocabulary of color, taste and smell; numerals; animacy in grammar; secret languages; clicks; exotic European languages; recursion; The World Championship of Languages 2006 (on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2006); presentation of the PhonLab and the BabyLab.
