Reduced use of certain evaluative particles in the prefield of Alzheimers Dementia

Abstract

10 years before the diagnosis of Alzheimer's dementia, the particles wohl 'probably', sogar 'even', and eigentlich 'actually occur significantly less frequently in 5 German-speaking persons than in a group of 5 persons who remained cognitively healthy over that period. My research question is what it is that makes these particles harder to use when cognition declines than particles such as maybe 'vielleicht', probably 'wahrscheinlich', almost 'fast, beinah'. I have no answer to this so far but will show what kind of analyses I have done so far.
